A missing tourist has been found alive in Nevada in the US after being missing for seven weeks.
The 56 year-old Canadian was found in a wooded area, close to her vehicle that had been reported stranded.
Rita Chretien had been driving to Las Vegas with her husband went off road and se the Elko Country.
According to Rita, when their van got stuck in the mud, her husband went to get help on foot, but didn’t return. She told police that she had been living on snack food and water and reportedly lost 9-14 kg during the ordeal.
Police had called off the search in April, but have now resumed the hunt for 58 year old Albert Chretien.
